Appleton, Wisconsin’s Ifdakar has been impressing audiences for over a decade now with their one-of-a-kind live show that runs the gamut of the bands’ unique original catalog. From full on funk throw-downs, to soaring arena-rock anthems, from country-twanged bluegrass rockers, to tear-jerking ballads, Ifdakar stands in a creative league of their own, bringing along their diehard fanbase to every stop on the tour.
After a critically acclaimed studio release in 2017, and a Wisconsin Area Music Association award nod to go with it, Ifdakar was back recording another crop of original tunes later that year, as the band traveled to Jake Cinninger’s (Umphrey’s McGee) studio in southern Michigan. Cinninger, who also performs on the album, produced the project, along with Death Row Records regular Willie Waldman (Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Wu Tang). The 4 track EP is set for release in May of 2018.
