Barbaro is a progressive bluegrass band playing music for films about cooking. Spicy instrumentals, savory harmonies, and to-the-point songwriting creates a dynamic and captivating set for audiences of all ages and musical tastes. Barbaro began crafting it’s sound in the fall 2016 and has been evolving ever since.
2018 has been a year of exciting momentum for Barbaro. Following the release of their self-titled EP, the band is slated to perform at premier Midwest music festivals like Blue Ox and Boats & Bluegrass. Barbaro took home first place at the John Hartford Memorial Festival Band Contest, and looks forward to releasing a full-length album this spring.
